NCAA Championship Weekend Hotspots

Got a case of the March Madness yet? We’re in full swing for NCAA Championship week as we get ready for the NCAA tournament. Before we print out the brackets and get ready for the big tournament, there are still many more conference champions to be crowned! Championship weekend is where the most unlikely of Cinderellas could punch their ticket to the big dance and some match-ups could be even more exciting than the main championship. To guarantee you are in the center of all the action, we’re going to take a trip to four blazing hot Championship weekend destinations. If you can’t make it to the game, these four college bars will be the next best thing.

The Tarheel faithful in Chapel Hill have many great spots to go on Franklin Street to watch the big games. The last place you’d think anyone would want to be during Championship week would be your local library, but Chapel Hill’s The Library doesn’t have a quiet corner in the place! With large projection screens showing the game and the best drink specials in town, the Library is already a great gameday destination. However, if you’re having a hard time deciding which one of their shots you want to take, you can have the Shot Wheel. Select one of eight fantastic Absolut varieties for you to toss back and help you cheer your Tarheels on this weekend at the Library!

State Street Brats in Madison, Wisconsin is where you want to be if you’re a Badger fan looking for the most electric atmosphere near U of W. With traditional Wisconsin bar grub like Bratwursts and Cheese Curds, you can also grab some of the best drink specials on State Street as you watch the Big Ten tournament!

Gator fans near and far know they can flock to Gainsville, Florida to cheer on their squad during the SEC Tournament. The place to be for gameday in Gainsville has to be The Swamp. With a menu as long as the Gators’ front court, you can find just about every type of bar food to sample while you sip one of the Swamp’s signature drinks. Swamp Juice, the gameday favorite, is a fruit-packed cocktail with a Bacardi punch that’ll keep you on your toes cheering for Gator basketball all weekend!

If you’re a Notre Dame fan in South Bend who couldn’t make the trip out to Madison Square Garden for the Big East tournament, we have the next best thing! South Bend’s The Linebacker is right across from Notre Dame’s campus and with an army of flatscreens and great selection of beers to sample during gameday, The Linebacker is the place to be for Fighting Irish basketball from tipoff to the final buzzer!
