January 31st is National Brandy Alexander Day. This classic cocktail is said to have been created for the 1922 wedding of Mary, Princess Royal and Countess of Harewood (the daughter of George V) and Viscount Lascelles. Courtesy of Hiram Walker.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ – 2 parts brandy
- 1 part Hiram Walker Dark Creme de Cacao
- ½ part cream or half-and-half
- Splash coffee
Instructions
Add all ingredients to a shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a stemmed cocktail glass. Garnish with grated nutmeg.
